The property was beautiful and super clean. As a beachfront property manager myself, I cannot believe there was NO mention of carrying luggage up 5+ flights of stairs. I even had someone else double check the listing to make sure I didn't miss it. As someone with breathing problems this is unacceptable and would've been a deal breaker when booking. Old Montreal is a solid 40 minute walk, not close at all. If you are elderly or have kids this is a no. if you're in shape and looking for downtown, this is it. I have never had an experience like this and I hate bringing it up. but after driving all the way from Charleston SC, this was not appreciated at all. I'm sure I'll get a bad review for leaving my honest one. But that's better than someone trying to carry luggage up those stairs and getting injured. Revise your listing and give clearer instructions please!
Melissa's space was very roomy. It was great for 2 couples since it had 2 large bedrooms and 2 full baths. The open kitchen, dining, and living area was spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, although we only really used the Nespresso coffee machine and water kettle. We used Ubers and Taxis to travel to different areas in Montreal, and they were very affordable - less than 15 dollars (US) for each ride, some less than 10 - so it was a great option for us to visit a variety of areas during our stay.
We had a wonderful fun stay in Montreal. Melissa's apartment was very nice. The only suggestion would be maybe to put some clothes hangers in the closets. A warning to older guest, the back stair well where you park is five flights and a bit tough.
